Heidelberg Mathematician Receives Generous Grant From European Research Council
"...Dr. Bastian Goldlücke is receiving an ERC Starting Grant for excellent young researchers from the European Research Council (ERC). The 5-year endowment will fund a Heidelberg University research project to investigate the acquisition and image processing of light fields. Dr. Goldlücke will receive approximately 1.5 million euros to fund the "Light Field Imaging and Analysis" project of the Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing (HCI) at the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing. Angebot für Kinder und Jugendliche: Lange Nacht der Robotik
"...An alle Technik- und Roboter-Fans wendet sich die 'Lange Nacht der Robotik', mit der das Interdisziplinäre Zentrum für Wissenschaftliches Rechnen (IWR) der Universität Heidelberg am 5. Juli 2013 seine Aktivitäten auf dem Gebiet der Robotertechnik vorstellt. Das Robotiklabor des IWR wird dabei vor allem verschiedene Roboter in Aktion präsentieren. Auf dem Veranstaltungsprogramm, das sich insbesondere auch an Kinder und Jugendliche wendet, stehen neben diesen interaktiven Robotikdemonstrationen außerdem Vorträge, eine Vorlesung der Kinder-Uni, Workshops sowie ein Roboterwettbewerb..."
